What is dystonia, and what is it like to live with it?
Christian Hoff, Tony Award Winner from Jersey Boys speaks out about dystonia, a neurological muscle disorder that causes uncontrollable, painful spasms in one or more parts of the body that is not widely known. Dystonia affects more than 500,000 people in North America alone, make it more prevalent than muscular dystrophy, Huntington's disease and Lou Gehrig's disease combined.

The Annual Bachmann-Strauss Golf Invitational
Our annual Golf Invitational brings out the best in everyone. Held at the Century Country Club, in Purchase, NY, this golf invitational has run since 1993 as a way for others to contribute to dystonia and Parkinson's research while having fun.

Jake's Ride for Dystonia Research
Jake's Ride is an annual event held by The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia & Parkinson Foundation to further the research of Dystonia. The event is named in honor of 14-year-old Jake Silverman, who was diagnosed with early-onset dystonia that affects his muscle movement. Jake's Ride 2010 for Dystonia Research will celebrate its 3rd successful year the Short Hills/Millburn Community, at the Hartshorn Elementary School.

ING New York City Marathon
The Bachmann-Strauss Foundation has always been proud to participate in the annual ING New York City Marathon. Watch some members of TEAM Bachmann-Strauss speak about their motivations for becoming involved with us, and how rewarding the marathon was to them. We hope you can join us this year on Sunday, November 7, 2010 when test the limits of human endurance and celebrate one of the great thrills of a lifetime.
