Proper diagnosis, treatment and comprehensive care has long been missing for people with dystonia. The nation’s first-ever Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia Center of Excellence was established in New York City to fill that gap and to bring together the best clinical care and coordinated support services.

"One-stop shopping"
Our multidisciplinary Dystonia Center of Excellence brings together a top team of neurologists, including pediatric neurologists, surgeons, psychiatrists, genetic counselors and others, as needed, to confer about a patient’s diagnosis and to develop a comprehensive treatment plan. There is also a vital research component and a fellowship training program to help encourage more doctors to specialize in dystonia.

Movement Disorder Fellowships
